Tennessee Grocers Education Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Tennessee Grocers Education Foundation
Introduction
TGEF scholarship opportunities are available to high school seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students who are either employees of a TGCSA member company or dependents of such employees.
Employment and eligibility timeline
- Student applicants who are employees must have been on the job for a minimum of six months, and parent-employee applicants must have been employed at least two years, both measured as of January 1, 2026.
- The sponsoring TGCSA member company must still employ the staff member at the time winners are chosen in April.
Selection criteria and application process
Awards are granted based on academic achievement, employment status, and extracurricular or community involvement. Some individual scholarships also carry additional, specific eligibility requirements. By submitting a single application, each student will be considered for every scholarship for which they qualify.
Enrollment requirements
- Undergraduate applicants must intend to enroll full time for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Graduate applicants must plan to be enrolled in a graduate program for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters at an accredited U.S. institution.
Award terms
All TGEF scholarships are one-time awards credited toward the recipient’s educational costs at any accredited college or university in the United States. Scholarships are not renewable, but eligible students may reapply in subsequent years if they continue to meet the stated requirements.
