Xello & Method Learning High School Scholarship

Introduction
The Wisconsin School Counselor Association (WSCA), in collaboration with Xello and Method Learning, is pleased to offer its annual high school scholarship program. Thanks to the sponsorship of Xello and Method Learning, WSCA will award four scholarships of $500 each to graduating Wisconsin high school students.

Scholarship Details
- Number of awards: Four (4)
- Amount: $500 each
- Purpose: To support students pursuing postsecondary education during the 2026–2027 academic year
Important Dates
- Opening date: Submissions open October 1, 2025
- Deadline: All entries must be submitted electronically via the form below by December 11, 2025 (no later than 11:59 PM on that date for consideration)
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must meet the following criteria unless otherwise specified:
- Wisconsin residency as defined by WSCA, demonstrated by one of the following:
- An independent student—or the parents/guardians of a dependent student—has continuously lived in Wisconsin for the previous 12 months, OR
- The student has been continuously enrolled for at least one academic year at a Wisconsin high school within the past 12 months.
- You are a graduating student from a Wisconsin public or private high school in the current academic year.
- You will be enrolled in a postsecondary education program during the 2026–2027 school year.
- Your presence in Wisconsin is for reasons other than a temporary purpose (e.g., not solely on a student visa, travel visa, or other temporary status).
Application Requirements and Submission Instructions
- Provide single-page, essay-length responses (minimum three sentences each) to BOTH of the following questions:
1. Think about your interactions with school counselors during your education (elementary, middle, and high school). Describe a time when a school counselor helped you overcome a barrier or obstacle and how that support enabled your success.
2. Explain how your school counselor(s) helped you prepare for your postsecondary plans and describe how receiving this scholarship would support those plans. Include specific examples of lessons, workshops, conferences, conversations, or other counselor-led activities that were meaningful in shaping your post–high school path.
- All entries must be submitted electronically using the form provided below. Submissions open October 1, 2025, and must be received no later than December 11, 2025 to be eligible for review.
