The MCCA is delighted to announce the availability of $15,000 in scholarships annually for graduating cheerleaders. This includes ten scholarships of $1,000 each, one scholarship of $2,000, and the $3,000 Suzy Thompson Scholarship.
KEY DETAILS:
- The scholarships are one-time, non-renewable awards.
- The applicant's coach must be a fully paid MCCA member by February 1.
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 unweighted scale.
- A school counselor will confirm the GPA after the first semester grades are released.
- Applicants must fill out the MCCA Scholarship Application Form online (found below).
- Scholarship recipients are required to attend the MCCA Coaches Conference to accept their award.
- The conference will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Camden on the Lake Resort in Lake Ozark.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Fill out every section of the online Scholarship Application Form to accurately reflect the applicant's high school cheerleading experience, community involvement, GPA, awards, and so on.
- Obtain two (2) Letters of Recommendation:
- From a Coach - detailing the applicant's reliability, leadership skills, and contributions.
- From a Community Representative – such as a scout leader, business person, religious leader, 4-H leaders, etc.
- The letter should include how the representative knows the applicant and their impressions of the applicant’s ability to represent the community.
