Overview
Named in honor of a cherished Political Science faculty member, the Roger Feinstein Memorial Scholarship for First Generation Students was established through the generosity of a 1992 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Boston. The donor, who was also the first in his family to earn a college degree, provides funding to cover tuition and fees for a semester for students who are the first in their family to attend college. He continues to support first-generation students who plan to address significant social issues and give back to their communities.
Eligibility
- Must be a first-generation college student (first in family to enroll in college).
- Must be a U.S. resident.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Should have a clear sense of intended major and career direction; these goals must be articulated in the personal essay.
