All these become a reality when you become a Flinn Scholar, which also grants you a full scholarship to any of Arizona’s public universities.
The Flinn Scholarship stands out among undergraduate merit-based scholarships in the United States, both in terms of its scope and value. Worth over $135,000, the scholarship covers tuition, fees, accommodation, meals at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona, and even includes a study abroad opportunity.

Subsequently, apply for the 2026 Flinn Scholarship. The application deadline is Monday, Oct. 20.
Elements of the Flinn Scholarship Application
The Flinn Scholarship application includes:
- Forms to gather personal data, current academic information, and details about extracurricular activities (including employment);
- Two essay topics and one short-answer question;
- An academic/teacher recommendation, separately submitted by a high-school teacher who has graded you in a course;
- A leadership/service recommendation, separately submitted by a teacher, professor, coach, employer, or community member;
- A transcript and school profile copy, uploaded by your high school academic counselor in the counselor report; and
- A copy of ACT or SAT scores (with a minimum score of 26 on the ACT or 1230 on the SAT). The last qualifying test month for the 2026 Flinn Scholarship is October.
