Mugget Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Horticulture Research Institute
Background
The Mugget Scholarship originates from the Mugget Growers of America (MGA), an informal collective created in 1981 to serve as a social, educational, and fundraising network within the green industry. MGA convenes annually to exchange information on plant development and industry matters and to support research and scholarship efforts administered through the Horticultural Research Institute.
Purpose
MGA members prioritized the development of future professionals by allocating proceeds from their events and activities to student scholarships. The Mugget Scholarship embodies the group’s dedication to teamwork, education, and the advancement of aspiring horticulture practitioners across the United States.
